Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Pokebot ("Pokebot", "the Bot", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when users interact with Pokebot on Discord.

By using Pokebot, adding it to a Discord server, or interacting with its commands and features, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Pokebot only collects information needed to operate its Discord bot features and gameplay systems. Depending on how the Bot is used, Pokebot may collect and store the following information:

  • Discord user IDs
  • Discord server IDs
  • Discord channel IDs when needed for Bot features or server settings
  • Command usage and interaction timestamps
  • Cooldowns, streaks, votes, rewards, and gameplay action history
  • In-bot currency balances
  • Card inventories, card codes, card rarity, card condition, card grades, and card ownership data
  • Pack opening, grading, trading, marketplace, duel, quiz, leaderboard, and reward-related data
  • Collection progress, achievements, badges, items, journey progress, and other in-game progress
  • Server-specific Bot settings, such as configured channels, prefixes if used, disabled commands, or other setup options
  • Error logs or technical logs needed to fix bugs, prevent abuse, and keep the Bot working properly

Discord user IDs, server IDs, and channel IDs are used only to connect Bot data to the correct Discord user, server, or channel.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Pokebot does not intentionally collect real-world personal information such as:

  • Real names
  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Home addresses
  • Passwords
  • Payment information
  • Precise location data
  • Government identification

Users should not submit private personal information, passwords, payment details, addresses, or sensitive information through Pokebot commands, messages, or gameplay features.

3. How We Use Information

Pokebot uses collected information only to provide, maintain, improve, and protect the Bot. This includes:

  • Saving user inventories, cards, coins, rewards, and game progress
  • Tracking cooldowns, streaks, votes, pack openings, and reward claims
  • Supporting gameplay features such as card collecting, grading, trading, duels, quizzes, leaderboards, achievements, and marketplace systems
  • Displaying user profiles, rankings, collection progress, and card information
  • Saving server-specific Bot settings
  • Preventing abuse, cheating, spam, duplicate claims, vote manipulation, and economy exploits
  • Debugging errors, fixing bugs, and improving Bot reliability
  • Responding to user support requests and data deletion requests

4. Message Content

Pokebot may temporarily process message content only when required for specific Bot features, such as reading a command argument, card code, quiz answer, search term, trade response, or setup response.

Pokebot does not store full chat logs, does not monitor general conversations, and does not use message content for advertising. Message content is processed only when needed for Bot functionality.

When possible, Pokebot uses Discord slash commands, buttons, select menus, modals, and other interaction features instead of reading normal message content.

5. Data Storage

Pokebot data may be stored in local files, cloud storage, or a database. Stored data is used only for Bot functionality, maintenance, security, and abuse prevention.

Access to stored data is limited to the Bot owner and authorized maintainers who need access to operate, maintain, or secure the Bot.

6. Data Sharing

Pokebot does not sell, rent, or share user data with advertisers.

Pokebot may share or process limited data only in the following situations:

  • With Discord, as required for Bot functionality through Discord’s API and platform
  • With service providers needed to operate the Bot, such as hosting, database, logging, or analytics providers
  • With voting or bot listing services, such as Top.gg, when users interact with voting or listing features
  • When required by law, legal process, or a valid request from an appropriate authority
  • When needed to investigate abuse, cheating, security issues, or violations of Bot rules
  • When a user clearly requests or directs data to be shared as part of a Bot feature

7. Third-Party Services

Pokebot may rely on third-party services to operate certain features. These may include Discord, Top.gg, hosting providers, database providers, logging tools, analytics tools, or other services needed for Bot functionality.

These third-party services may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies. Pokebot is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

8. Data Retention

Pokebot keeps user and server data for as long as reasonably needed to provide Bot features, maintain game progress, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and operate the Bot properly.

Some data may remain stored until a user requests deletion, the Bot is removed from a server, the data is no longer needed, or inactive data is cleaned by the Bot owner.

9. Data Deletion Requests

Users may request deletion of their stored Pokebot data by contacting the Bot owner through the official Pokebot support server or the contact method listed in this Privacy Policy.

Server owners or administrators may request deletion of server-specific Bot settings and server-related Bot data.

After a valid deletion request is received, we will delete the requested data where reasonably possible. Some data may be retained if necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, backup recovery, or to protect the integrity of Bot systems.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect stored Bot data from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration. However, no online service, database, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children’s Privacy

Pokebot is intended for use on Discord and follows Discord’s Terms of Service and age requirements. Pokebot does not knowingly collect real-world personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through Pokebot, please contact us so the information can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

12. User Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights related to your data, such as the right to request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your Discord user ID.

To make a request, contact the Bot owner through the official Pokebot support server or the contact method listed below. We may need your Discord user ID to locate your Bot data.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new Bot features, changes in data practices, security improvements, legal requirements, or Discord platform requirements.

Continued use of Pokebot after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
